Description:
Architect Richard Hassell was born in 1966 and is an Australian architect. He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1989. He earned his Maste of Architecture Degree from RMIT University in Melbourne in 2002. He worked in Kerry Hill Architects in Singapore. He met Architect Wong Mun Summ who became his partner in his architecture firm WOHA.Architect Richard Hassell and Wong Mun Summ realized that they shared a logical approach to solving architectural problems. In choosing a solution the firm believes in using the requirements of a building’s program rather than by the form.Architect Richard Hassell has served in SIA and Board of Architects (BOA) in Singapore. He is currently a board member of both the Design Singapore Council and the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore. He has lectured at universities in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, the USA, and the United Kingdom.
